Thanksgiving Food Distribution

posted on November 25, 2016 11:34 am

On November 19, 2016 we helped to fund and manage a food distribution. We gave out canned and boxed Thanksgiving foods along with a ten pound turkey to needy residents of Juniata County. We gave away fixings for 280 complete meals working in partnership with the Juniata County Food Pantry. Our sponsored youth; Tuscarora Junior High Builders Club, East Juniata Key Club, and Juniata High School Key club, were a great help. Boy Scout troop 160 collected many pounds of donated food for the distribution. The Yourth Group from Aldersgate United Methodist Church were very helpful with sorting and bagging the food. Some photos from the event can be seen on our photo page.
